What Is a Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage?
Hot Stone Massage uses well polished, water heated river stones to increase the effects of a massage, and address issues with therapeutic bodywork that is more detailed and deeper pressure.
Typically, the focus is on the back or a problem area such as the legs with the stones with and is accompanied by a standard massage of the rest of the body.
What should I expect in a Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage?
Initially the process begins with some general massage with the heated stones used as tools. As the problem area is completed, the stones will be placed over the problem area to allow the heat to act on the soft tissues. A towel will be used to “lock in” the heat of the stones.
